The river is part of the lower face of the earth in the form of grooves where the water flows from upstream to downstream (estuary).
Various kinds of river
1. Based on water resources
a. Rivers of rain, the rivers get their water directly from rainfall or spring.
b. Glacier rivers, namely river gets its water from the melting ice.
c. Mixture River, which gets its water from the river of rain water and water ice or snow.
2. Based on the continuity of the flow
a. Permanent streams (intermittent), the volume of river water remains throughout the year.
b. Periodic River (ephimeral), ie the volume of river water in the rainy season and many dry during the dry season.
c. Episodic River (perennial), the volume of river water a lot in the wet season and a bit on the dry season.
3. Based on genetic
a. Consequent river, the river that flows following the initial slopes or river that flows in accordance with the slope of the rock.
b. Subsequent river, the river that runs perpendicular to the river consequently.
c. Obsekuen River, the river that runs counter to the direction of the river consistent (as opposed to rock slope).
d. Resekuen River, the river that flows in the direction of the river and is consequently a new river.
e. Insekuen River, the river that flows are not bound by the slopes and rock structures.
River flow pattern
1) denritik flow pattern, the pattern is irregular streams. There is a rock in homogeneous areas and slopes are not too steep.
2) trelis flow patterns, flow patterns are shaped trelis (fin leaves). Trelis patterns contained in the crease area where the formation of a parallel anticline and syncline.
3) The pattern of radial centrifugal flow pattern that is left of a hub. Usually found in the area of the volcano cone or dome / new dome.
4) centripetal radial pattern, the pattern of flow leading to a center. Usually there are areas in the basin or depression.
5) rectangular pattern, the pattern of flow in the form of a right-angled (perpendicular). Usually there is a fault in the area.
6) annular pattern, the pattern of variation in radial centrifugal flow with new tributaries. Usually found in the area dome (dome) long so that there is a new stream.
